Kevin McGee

Kevin McGee is the President of Anderson Valley Brewing Company (AVBC) of Boonville, California and the founder of the Healdsburg Beer Company of Healdsburg, California. He is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and has been actively practicing law for over 20 years. Anderson Valley Brewing Company is one of the 75 largest craft breweries in the U.S. and is distributed in over 30 states. AVBC has made world-class beer since 1987 when it was one of only 20 craft breweries in the country and is now widely recognized as one of the craft beer industry’s true pioneers. Healdsburg Beer Company was founded in 2007 when Kevin turned his garage into a licensed and bonded commercial brewery, operating a 1bbl brewhouse selling award-winning limited releases primarily to local bars and restaurants. Kevin has spent the last two decades working with beer and wine, starting as the personal legal counsel and business strategist to wine industry legend Jess Jackson, founder of the Kendall-Jackson wine empire. Subsequently he served as CEO of a wine and hospitality focused private equity firm with assets-under-management of just over $100M and businesses encompassing over 140 employees spread over three continents. More recently Kevin worked as an operating partner and strategic advisor in the alcoholic beverage, cannabis and consumer products industries through his firm Tradecraft Strategic Advisors. Kevin’s legal background involves complex litigation, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and a broad corporate development and business practice. Kevin previously worked as a prosecutor for San Mateo County and for The City and County of San Francisco and spent eight years teaching Gang Violence law and trial skills for the California District Attorneys’ Association. A native of Buffalo, NY, Kevin now lives in Healdsburg, CA with his wife, daughter and cat.
